Get Involved
We are pleased to invite you to get involved in the upcoming Barunga Festival, running from the 5th to 8th June 2026. This event is a celebration of Aboriginal culture and heritage, aiming to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes understanding and appreciation of Indigenous traditions. By participating, you have the opportunity to showcase your brand to a diverse audience while demonstrating your commitment to social responsibility and cultural awareness. It is the sponsors, participants, and retailers working together that make this event so authentic, and the Bagala Aboriginal Corporation deeply appreciates your involvement.

AFL
Join the action by registering your team for the AFL competition, running across Saturday and Sunday. Players will battle it out on the field for the prestigious Barunga Carnival title, showcasing their skills to a passionate crowd.

Basketball
Bring your best game to the courts by entering the basketball competition, held throughout Saturday and Sunday. Teams will compete in a fast-paced tournament to claim the highly sought-after Barunga Carnival title in front of cheering fans.

Softball
Step up to the plate in our softball competition, which takes place over an exciting Saturday and Sunday of play. Gather your team and compete for the honour of taking home the Barunga Carnival title this year.

Sponsorships
Support a not-for-profit event where your financial contribution goes directly back into the community. Cash sponsorship packages offer unique activations and naming rights tailored to your dollar value. These exclusive opportunities are issued on a first-in, best-dressed basis.

Food Vendors
Share your culinary offerings with festival-goers by securing a dedicated food vendor stall. We strictly limit positions to prevent overlapping menus and ensure the opportunity remains commercially viable for you, so please submit your application as soon as possible.

Art Stalls
Join the Art Fair to sell authentic art, fabric, and traditional crafts directly to the public. We encourage artists to attend to share their cultural stories, and we welcome proposals for hosting ticketed experiences like painting, screen printing, or weaving.

Information stalls
Connect with our diverse audience by hosting an information booth at the festival. This is an ideal platform for corporate entities and not-for-profit organisations to share their campaigns and services, but spaces fill quickly, so fill out your form early.

Retail Sales stalls
Expand your business reach by securing a commercial retail booth to sell your general goods. This offers a fantastic opportunity to engage directly with thousands of attendees throughout the weekend, providing excellent visibility and sales potential for your brand.

Volunteer
Become an essential part of the team by volunteering your time to help run the festival. This hands-on role offers a unique, behind-the-scenes perspective and provides a deeply rewarding opportunity to experience true Aboriginal cultural immersion alongside the community.
